May is Women’s Health Month!

Celebrate Women’s Health this month with us. We’re offering an eight-week training group to learn how to train specific to the needs of women. Our bodies are different than men’s and through this training group you’ll learn how to train best for YOU. Especially as we age, adapting our training to our specific needs becomes more important for our overall health and well being. In this eight-week group you’ll learn how your cycle impacts training, how to incorporate or modify your strength training for optimal health, and simply how to feel better in your body and out doing fun things.

It’s open to all ages and all abilities. Each week you’ll receive an email with a short video discussing various topics around training and women’s health and wellness, with access to you coach (Alison Naney) and community through Slack, and a comprehensive training plan specific to your favorite activity and where you are in your current active life. Strength training is included in the training plan, and depending on your needs you can do everything from home (there are many creative ways to make things harder), or you may need access to a gym for lifting heavier weight. We’re also collaborating with our friends at Motive Yoga Co. and Blue Heron Health to offer a truly comprehensive month of women’s health. Kelsey Bourn Physcotherapy is offering a six-week group therapy series geared towards women and understanding ourselves as we continue to change and evolve. Weekly topics include boundaries, values, shame, etc that all support women exploring their ever-evolving identity. This group will help you continue to find ways to become your more authentic selves.

Motive Yoga Co. is back with their W-School! Join this retreat, four-part workshop series, for fun and frank discussions about the realities of inhabiting a female body and share important and fascinating information about women’s health that we wish was included in every high school biology class!
