Explore the beauty of printmaking with local artist Claire (Cal) Waichler. Through woodcut printmaking, painting, and collage, she explores themes of wilderness, climate change, and the complex ecological stories that occur underfoot, overhead, and out of sight. Her creative work is underpinned by time spent mountaineering, commercial fishing, and working as a researcher and educator in environmental fields. She makes artwork to revisit and intuitively express these far-flung experiences. Cal studied Environmental Science and printmaking at Colby College.
