Backcountry Ski Prep Workshop
The deets.
Who.
Anyone wanting a jumpstart to their fall training to get ready for the winter mountains. Not sure how to structure your training? Not sure what strength exercises or workouts to do? Look no further. Due to Covid restrictions, we’re limited to 16 people (two groups of 8) so register soon!
What.
A day of learning how to train for backcountry skiing, so you don’t need to spend the first several outings skiing your way into shape. Whether you’re a runner, mountain biker, or hiker, training now for skiing will let you start the season already in shape and durable for laps of your favorite run or going on the tours on your list.

When.
Saturday October 7, 2023
9am: Uphill Workout
11am: Snack/Early Lunch and nutrition talk
12pm: Strength workout
1pm: Training talk-components of a training plan
Where.
We’ll be based from the North Cascades Heli barn, at Freestone Inn in Mazama, WA. Workouts will be held outside. If the weather doesn’t cooperate for the strength workout, we’ll be in the barn with the doors open, so bring extra clothes!
*While you’re here, you might as well book that heli trip for a carrot. :)
