Peak Practice Retreat

A highlight of each year for the last decade are the retreats I host, one in the winter for skiing, and then in the spring for running. And then, like so many things, that changed last year. I missed gathering with everyone, sharing the trails and getting to know like-minded women. 

Last summer, my retreat partner-in-crime Bree Dillon and I put together a virtual series putting together some of the things we love discussing: breath, movement, and mindset. I talk to my athletes about how to integrate breath and movement all the time, and mindset comes into basically everything sports-related, whether you want to try something new, feel better as you do more of something, or are looking for peak performance. The ten week series had short videos each week but we kept wanting to dive in further. Now that things are opening up a bit, we decided to turn the Peak Practice series into a retreat! Each day we’ll have a workshop about one of the topics, do yoga, and have lots of free time to take advantage of the Solstice long days. There’s also an optional Trail Running technique clinic, Mountain Bike skills clinic, and happy hips clinic, so it’s truly a choose your own adventure weekend.
