Thank You!

Thanks to everyone who came to our open house a little over a week ago. Cookies were eaten (here’s the recipe for the peanut butter miso ones, though I added more peanut butter), a mural was painted, and chatting abounded. John Schaefer of Early Winters Studios was around to answer questions about his beautiful mountain photography, and we were thrilled to show everyone our new space. A massive thank you to Janet Fagen, who was instrumental in making the mural project a reality. She generously helped me gather supplies, answered endless questions, and helped everyone who participated free their inner painter. Many people told me they weren’t artistic, but with Janet’s help, they surprised themselves with their creation. If you’re unfamiliar with Janet’s work, it’s currently on display at RYZO wine bar in Twisp, and she has pieces in the Winthrop and Confluence Galleries. Finally, huge thanks too to John Scurlock, for giving us permission to modify his beautiful photograph of Silverstar to turn into art for the mural.
